Hi, I am an Assistant Professor of Communication and Information Science at The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

My research focuses on understanding how political partisanship can drive problematic behaviors, such as the “news-finds-me” perception and belief in misinformation. I argue that cognitive verification behaviors are crucial for individuals to distinguish factual information from partisan misinformation.

I also have a keen interest in Sports Communication and find the implications of sports in society. I am especially interested in how sporting events provide a powerful platform to amplify the voices of underrepresented and marginalized communities.

Recently, I conducted an LDA topic modeling analysis to examine differences in Paralympic news coverage between the U.S. and South Korea. I have decent skills in analyzing statistical data by utilizing R, SPSS, AMOS, and SAS to conduct regression analysis, structural equation modeling, and social network analysis.
